<SPOILERS FOR TERRARIA COMBAT MISSION SEASON 1>
As Fluflord, those who finished watching the series (a total of probz 3 people) know that I won. However, the main reason this happened was not only pure skill, but the luck I had with chests. My threats of falling damage were pretty much completely averted because I could slide and jump off of walls due to my climbing claws, the aglet let me run when I needed to, and most of all, I had a trident. Even when Player2 got a spear and some extra health, he could not compare to my all powerful trident. There were probably more than 10 skulls of Boring in it. Seriously, I killed him pretty much 15 times with that thing. Same goes for Player2 and Test. However, they didn't get killed as much by my trident. When the battle round came, it was just Player2 and Boring I had to eradicate. When it began, I made my way to spawn (sorta) and ended up having to kill Boring TWICE and I still managed to pull through (though the first one really should have counted...). Than Player2 showed up and even with a spear still got massacred by my trident. I can die knowing that they have rotted at the front of my trident. I am Poseidon Fluflord.

Your trident is what doomed us all. Player2 might've beaten you if you didn't have a trident in the first place.

Your trident is what doomed us all. Player2 might've beaten you if you didn't have a trident in the first place. If I didn't find the trident, he would've. And even if he didn't I probably would have had a small chance as I still had better health and defense.

Even if he didn't find the trident, with his spear he might've been able to get you. He just needed a little bit more dodging skill.

Even if he didn't find the trident, with his spear he might've been able to get you. He just needed a little bit more dodging skill. Dodging in Terraria isn't as easy as it sounds. If I had no trident, I would have to use my Wood Sword, which hits at a 180 degree angle. The trident is long enough that it would be able to hit him. I was still at half health when I killed him.

I see your point, but a spear does do more damage than a wood sword right?

I see your point, but a spear does do more damage than a wood sword right? Wooden sword has 7 melee damage, spear has 8 melee damage. A spear IS easier to dodge, but it's slow enough to hit you up to three times with one swing, doing 24 damage. The sword is faster and easier to handle, but he still had a chance. Also, the spear has more knockback than the trident did. The trident does 10 damage.

So, you probably still would've won anyway. You have more experience and the spear only does marginally more damage.

How can I get a better sword? :I

How can I get a better sword? :I 1. Create a character 2. Chop a few trees 3. Create a crafting table with a few pieces of wood 4. Go mine stone 5. Make torches 6. Create a furnace out of 20 stone, 3 torches, and 4 wood (You need to make it within a few blocks of a crafting table 7. Mine a few minerals 8. Mine some iron (I think 24 ore) 9. Put the minerals in the furnace to make some bars 10. Use (8 I think) iron to make an anvil 11. A certain amount of each mineral put in an anvil can make swords and armor Of course some are found in chests, and swords aren't the best melee weapon, they become less useful later.

Your welcome! The muramasa is in the dungeon and is always the prehardmode weapon I go with

Is there only one Muramasa?

Is there only one Muramasa? Depends on how big the dungeon is. There are many chests, and I think there are 7 main items you can get from each chest. I've gotten multiple before, and every dungeon is probably required to have at least one of each item. You need a key to open the chests though, which are a drop by mobs, and its a 100% chance by the dungeon slime, which is more rare.

I'd probably get killed by a dungeon slime.

I'd probably get killed by a dungeon slime. Well if you stay with a copper shortsword the entire time...

I'm going to aim to get a better weapon this season. Start with a wooden sword.

Yeah. Also, I forgot to mention this at the beginning. You said if I didn't find the trident Player2 might have won. Actually, I found the spear before him, but I just didn't take it because I had the trident, and I didn't think it through well enough. I said to myself that the trident is better so i dont need it. I knew it was the same chest because i took most of the other loot, and most loot was missing.

So, if the roles were reversed, and the person who found the chest was Player2, would you have still beaten him? This is assuming he took everything in the chest.

If he had the trident and I had the spear, I still probably would've won. I had armor and health. I was at around 200, and the trident attack isn't TOO much higher than the spear.

No. You wouldn't have the spear because "This is assuming he took everything in the chest." Would that make a difference in the outcome?

No. You wouldn't have the spear because "This is assuming he took everything in the chest." Would that make a difference in the outcome? I've said it before and I'll say it again. I would have the spear because I actually found the chest before him, but since I had a trident, I didn't take it, but I forgot others could get it.

If you had never found the chest, is what I'm getting at.

If you had never found the chest, is what I'm getting at. If I didn't find the trident OR the spear? probably would've spent the iron i had at the end on getting an iron sword, which probably would've been good enough to defeat Player2.

Okay. Thank you. I was interested to find out what your alternate approach towards winning would be. I actually don't remember if our world has iron. A world can have lead instead. Also, once you go and break a shadow orb in the corruption 2 things can happen. 1. Meteorites can land 2. If you have over 200 health, the goblin army can invade.
